Yay for KF 2015-2016!!

I am SO excited to write this post.  It has been such a crazy (and I know you can imagine 18 kinders and one crazy teacher in one room) but beautiful start to the 2015-2016 year.  Having all these kinders in Keystone has been a transition on so many levels.  It has been such a fun transition for me.  I  was a Blairstown kid growing up and went to Keystone for grades 2-5.  I was actually in 5th grade, with Mr. Janss, in the classroom that we are in right now!  Mrs. Kimm (other kinder teacher) was in my class!  So many memories here, and so many more to make!
This year has started off with a bang.  We are still trying to iron out our routines, but the kinders have fallen into routine pretty well.  A couple things I want to point out to our families.  Please send notes in the Take Home folders or call our secretary, Candi, if your child's after school routine is changing.  This helps make sure our dismissal runs smooth.  Also, if you are joining your kinder for lunch, please either send a note or call Candi to let us know.  The meals are made in Van Horne and transported over.  This allows us to make sure we  know how many meals will be served.
I have email addresses for all families (THANK YOU) so I will always email out a link when I make a new blog post.  I have been updating with lots of pictures on Twitter, so make sure to follow me (@Mrs_KFisher) and our hashtags (#KFkinders #BCmakers and #keyrocks) for all things KINDERLAND!
Please let me know how I can support both you and your kinder at home and school.  We are building learners TOGETHER!!  Make sure to come to our Parent Partnership Night on Wednesday, September 9th from 6:30-7:30.  We will be reviewing things you can do for your kinder, and other break-out sessions to address different resources and supports you can be doing at home.  We have added two new learning areas at Keystone this year.  Come to Parent Partnership Night to learn about our Makerspace and Outdoor Learning areas!!  Please click on this link (Parent Partnership Night Sessions) to read about the different sessions we will be presenting at our Parent Partnership Night on Wednesday.  Daycare will be provided if you are bringing your children...and we are serving cookies!!
